Oscar Aftermath

This year the Oscars did not disappoint in glamour! From Anne Hathaway's numerous costume changes to Natalie Portman's plum perfection pregnancy dress. All the blogs were abuzz with how gorgeous Mila Kunis looked and I have to agree. Mila was definitely my pick for Best Dressed of the night, her look translated from the runway to the red carpet effortlessly.

I was very curious this year to see who Rachel Zoe dressed for the Oscars. While nine months pregnant she still managed to dress Anne Hathaway for every costume change and the lovely ladies featured below for parties.

Stylist for a Day

It's here ! My version of the Superbowl.. The 2011 Oscars. This year we have some great contenders for the grand Best Dressed Award, with MVP's like Natalie Portman, Michelle Williams and Nicole Kidman nominated for Best Actress in a leading role. Jennifer Lawrence will have all eyes on her, as a budding fashionista, to see if her place as a fashion icon will be confirmed. On a day that I should be studying, I took a little break to imagine what I would choose for the Best Actress nominees if I was their stylist for a day.

Natalie Portman, Black Swan

Michelle Williams, Blue Valentine

Michelle is always a little more eclectic. I would love to see her in a very sweet, girly look with a dose of glamour to switch things up.

Can't wait to see if my choices look anything like what the women end up wearing. Hope everyone enjoys The Academy Awards.

Little Treasures

As spring creeps up, I find myself stocking up on items that remind me of warmer climates. No matter how many pieces I have stored away for the season I always feel unprepared for the upcoming temperatures. This spring I imagine myself in lots of stripes, linen blazers and the essential girly print blouses. Here are some things I have picked up for spring:

The beginning!

Welcome to The Fashionably Ever After! I am so excited to begin blogging. My days are constantly filled with different fashion blogs and websites so this will be a place that I compile all the things that I am currently loving. As a college student, I am always on a budget so this blog will be a perfect mix of affordable pieces and all the designer pieces that I covet.

A little bit about me, I am a junior marketing major at Virginia Tech and plan to take my degree to NYC after I graduate. This summer, I have big plans as I have landed my dream internship at a certain Conde Nast fashion magazine. Fashionably Ever After will follow me through my internship as I try to make my way in New York. As of now, this blog will be a collage of everything fashionable around me. I will mix up different types of posts and really just blog about whatever is inspiring me in that moment... so lets get started!

Here are some looks I hope to emulate when I begin my internship:
